James Walsh Obituary
Born on March 25, 1956 in St. John Newfoundland, Canada, Mike was a passionate man, firm in his faith with a deep love for his family. He was a devout Catholic and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Mike was an avid golfer and sports fan, always cheering on his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. Mike loved traveling and had traveled the world with his wife and family. He loved cooking, fishing, hunting, playing with his dog, and attempting his hand at photography. Mike was a proud Texan and loved the Great State of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Henry Walsh and his mother, Marjorie Catherine Sayers Walsh.
Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years, Norma Angelica Walsh. His sons, Jarrod Walsh, Jason Walsh and wife Shelley Jo, Christopher Manzara and wife Kristen, Emmanuel Ortiz and wife Mercedes, and his daughter Isabel Walsh. Grandchildren, Jayden, Lucas, Preston, Justus and Grayson. He is survived by his siblings, Carol Ferguson, John "Bobby" Walsh and wife Michele, William "Bill" Walsh, Kathy Chilton, Richard "Rick" Walsh, Jeffery "Howie" Walsh and Dianne "Shelly" Walsh. Siblings by marriage, Manuel Felipe Najera Ortiz and wife Ana, Luis Dionicio Najera Ortiz and wife Marivel, and Mauricio Najera Ortiz and wife Marisa. His best friends/brothers William "Bill" Lamothe and family and Scott Crosby. Mike is also survived by his beloved dog, Trumpy.
He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Mike's life was a blessing and his memory a treasure. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A Rosary will be held on December 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Funeral service will immediately follow.
A wake will follow the funeral service at The Knights of Columbus Hall, 1319 Brown Trail, Bedford, Texas.

Walshman, I am grateful for the times we spent together going back over couple decades. I will not forget gkying to Bolivia and Argentina on that business trip with you in 2003 and seeing you enjoy your cigars and whiskey and thriving on carne. Most recently spending some time with you and learning about your love for everything Bollywood / movies, shows, songs, dances, etc. was really endearing. As they say, those whom God loves more, He taketh with Him and so comforting to know you are with your Lord now. You will be missed by many down here and we know you will now be lighting up the sky with your cigars......

Uncle Mike, I will always carry the good times we had. I miss you. Growing up with you as an Uncle was the best blessing I could have in my life. I wish we could have had more fun times. Norma I am so sorry for your loss..When Mike would come into the shop we always had lots of laughs he always shared stories about your adventures and how much fun and love he had for you Norma and the kids.. He will be missed always but never forgotten .. I pray that you and your family will find some peace in knowing he was loved by so many and is now in the light of Christ our savior...
