James Ward Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 27, 2024.
Washington -

James R. Ward passed to glory on April 11, 2024, one day after his ninety sixth birthday; his beloved wife, Margaret, entered eternal life on January 15, 2020.

They are survived by their daughter, Theresa and her husband, Al, and granddaughters Lauren Morano and Paige Warner.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Margaret and James Ward were long time residents of the Sea Colony area of Palm Coast. Over the years they were active in many civic and charitable organizations. Margaret volunteered in the educational programs for children at The Whitney Laboratory, and she was a 25 year volunteer at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. James served many years on the Architectural Review Committee in Sea Colony, and he was a volunteer tutor at the St. Gerard Maternity Home and Resource Center.

Due to failing health, Margaret and James moved to Washington, DC in 2019.

As was their wish, their final resting place is the Columbarium at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, in Palm Coast.
