James Donovan Watson passed away on November 30, 2023. Born on February 7, 1995 in San Diego, California to Dawn and Scott Watson. He called Ocean Beach his home for his entire life. Kind, empathetic and spiritual, James was a natural caregiver and spent his last years helping families care for their dying loved ones. He worked through the pandemic as a caregiver. He was creative and had a natural ability to write. James loved music and had a great sense of humor which will be greatly missed. He loved animals, especially his dogs Sweet Pea and Winston. James loved to learn and share his knowledge with others. He was studying computer science and planned to go into the field of cyber security. James is survived by his wife, Leila and daughter Lana Watson. His son Henrik. His mother Dawn Watson. His father Scott Watson and stepmother Stephanie. His brothers Adam and Rhett, and sister Carson. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

There will be a private life celebration on January 14, 2024. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Divided Sky Foundation (https://www.dividedskyfoundation.com/donate/).

Now I'm smiling in the sun

We'll meet again someday

You smile and then I'll say

When it rains it pours all day

Until love can find its way

My dear son, the void in my heart can never be filled. You were a kind, amazing person, and I will miss you every day. I love you more than words can express. I know that you are now in a better place. Go with God my wonderful son, and I will see you in the next life. Rest in peace.
