I knew Jim for one small sliver of his life 1972 - 74 when he was an RA for a girls dorm at the University of Delaware! He had a big impact on me as we were both feeling our way through the 70s.
He had such an impact on The Girls that we were just talking about him at our annual dorm reunion on May 18th.
In his usual mix of joking and being serious at the same time, he later told me he didn't recommend to UD that men be RAs of women's dorms in the future!
He will be missed.
