I was saddened to learn of Jim´s passing. Sincere condolences to the Wiley family from the Russo´s. I have many memories of those special times supporting the PV football team when Grant & Mark played.

Coach was introduced to Jenkintown High School as a model from the Sears catalogue. He taught me to weightlift in 71-72. I had just had a huge growth spirt. I was now 5' 5" and 120lbs. In June 72 he decided that I would make a good football linemen. I didn't share in his vision. He was the best line coach you could ever hope to have. In the fall we were short one DE. He picked me over much bigger kids. The team went on to become champions. When I lost my last wresting match coach watched from the scores table. I saw his eyes. I felt terrible. I let him down. Mr. Wiley was my World Cultures teacher that year and ended up being my Track and Field coach. I was not gifted with great physical or mental ability . I did have strength a new attitude to succeed .

Lynne,Grant and Wiley family thank you for sharing Jim with us during all the WVU tailgates. I am so sorry for your loss and I will always remember the big smile, long talks about football and the 9 hour bear cat tailgate that bonded our friendships forever. Won two LowerBux Champiionships 1971-1972 with me at Jenkintown. Jim a great leader excellent coach a wonderful friend a kind and caring person will be missed tremendously ,May he rest in peace.

I was a college classmate and friend of Jim and Lynne and knew Jim to be a great man with integrity, principled, and with a great sense of humor . Very sorry to learn of his passing.

Jim was a great friend and fellow cigar lover. His presence in the Lounge was always a joy to see. He was a true sportsman and American Patriot. My sincere sympathies to the entire Wiley Family!

I've known Jim since high school. He was always a good guy with a kind soul. He will be missed.
