James Wiley Obituary
Jim was born on May 22, 1948, in Norristown, to the late William and Regina (Gallagher) Wiley. He was a graduate of North Penn High School and C.W. Post College, NY. Before retiring, Jim was a State Farm Insurance agent in Quakertown, PA.
To know him was to love him. Niner was a loyal and trusted friend, attentive listener, and sage adviser. An accomplished football player and coach, Niner taught us to always "hold what you have". In football and in life, grab on and don't let go. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in anyone blessed to have been touched by him with a word, a handshake or simply a smile.
A visitation and service will be held from 11AM to 1PM Tuesday, August 16,2022 at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Collegeville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Perkiomen Valley HS Football Team, c/o HC Rob Heist, 338 Sonnet Lane, Collegeville, PA 19426. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.

Sincere Condolences,
Coach was introduced to Jenkintown High School as a model from the Sears catalogue. He taught me to weightlift in 71-72. I had just had a huge growth spirt. I was now 5' 5" and 120lbs. In June 72 he decided that I would make a good football linemen. I didn't share in his vision. He was the best line coach you could ever hope to have. In the fall we were short one DE. He picked me over much bigger kids. The team went on to become champions. When I lost my last wresting match coach watched from the scores table. I saw his eyes. I felt terrible. I let him down. Mr. Wiley was my World Cultures teacher that year and ended up being my Track and Field coach. I was not gifted with great physical or mental ability . I did have strength a new attitude to succeed .

Lynne,Grant and Wiley family thank you for sharing Jim with us during all the WVU tailgates. I am so sorry for your loss and I will always remember the big smile, long talks about football and the 9 hour bear cat tailgate that bonded our friendships forever.
