James K. "Lizard" Wilkinson

Services for James K. 'Lizard' Wilkinson, 52, of Pollok, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery. Lizard was born July 3, 1961 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Glenda (Edwards) and G.W. Wilkinson. He passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his residence. He graduated from Central High School. He worked in construction with Temple Associates and Timberline Construction. Lizard also worked for himself building houses, doing mechanic work, and was an ace of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, camping, family gatherings, and helping people. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Sissy and David Paul Williams; brother, Pete Wilkinson; grandmother, Haley Edwards; uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Joyce Edwards; cousins, Curtis and Jennifer Edwards, Kim and Richard Graham, Britton and Aundria Mills Hill and Jason Gann; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. In addition to his parents, Lizard was preceded in death by his grandfather, J.C. Edwards; and aunt, Ruth Brown. Pallbearers will be Jason Gann, Michael Martin, Randy Crawford, Randy Martin, William Spence and Stevie Martin. Services are in the care of Gipson Funeral Home.
