James Young Obituary
Jimmy was born and raised in St. Augustine. He attended St. Joseph Academy, graduating class of 1972. He was an alumnus of the University Florida, majoring in building construction. In 1977, he married his childhood sweetheart, Angie, and started his company, Young's Masonry. He was a parishioner of Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at San Sebastian Catholic Church with a prayer vigil beginning at 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at San Sebastian Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Walsh, celebrant. Burial will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Angie, and two sons: Jeremy (Holly) and Corey (Jena) and four beautiful grandchildren: Walker, Mason, Cade and Farra. He is also survived by one aunt, Mrs. Betty Shoals and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jeanne Young.
Jimmy was a true outdoorsman and lived life to the fullest. He hunted in many states and loved hunting with his sons, Jeremy and Corey. He loved spear fishing the local reefs with his sons and best friends. Everyone knew the light of Jimmy's life was his family, especially his grandchildren that he enjoyed every day. We will always love and miss our "Papa Jimmy."
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to St. Joseph Academy Catholic High School.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of the arrangements.

I always have wonderful memories of this great guy from when my kids and his kids went to school together. Recently I got to interact his son Corie. What a great guy he turn out to be and he has carried the legacy of the company Young's Masonry that his Dad founded. My most sincere condolences to his wife Angie and his sons. I was so sorry to hear the very sad news of Jimmy's passing. Jimmy's passion and enthusiasm will be something I will never forget.
