Jamie Billiodeaux Obituary

Visit the Legacy Remembers website to view the full obituary.

Jamie Patricia Billiodeaux, 42 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 28, 2022. She was born on March 4, 1980 to James Karl and Nancy Ann Miller Dintinger in Amarillo, TX.

Jamie grew up in Amarillo alongside her sister, Laura Dintinger Davis. She later graduated from Texas Tech. She completed a double masters in nursing administration and as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She met and married the love of her life, Seth Billiodeaux while working as registered nurse at Shreveport Medical Center.  They moved to Lake Charles where their family grew and came to encompass a large circle of dear friends and neighbors. Jamie was deeply loved by all whose lives she touched, caring for and welcoming them to their community. They were married 11 years.

She was a faithful member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Lake Charles where she and Seth were involved with Bible studies and nursery ministry.

Her joy in life was caring for and raising her family. She was tirelessly devoted to caring for them and her growing circle of friends. Her greatest joy was knowing that her friends and family knew and trusted in her beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.   She devoted her time to sharing her faith, crafting, embroidering and embellishing gifts to celebrate life with her friends and family. One of Jamie’s favorite scripture verses was I Corinthians 13, desiring that her children would develop a deeper love for others and sharing her faith and devotion to others.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 11 years, Seth Thomas Billiodeaux and their three daughters, Lilly, Evie Claire, and Adeline; her parents, James and Nancy Dintinger, her sister, Laura Davis and nephews Tyler and Luke and niece, Ella.

She was preceded in death by her beloved “Poppy” O.C. And Ilein Miller and paternal grandparents, Charles and Joan Dintinger.

Pallbearers will be Tom Billiodeaux, Matthew Billiodeaux, Kenneth Boagni, Hayden Boagni, Shane Davis,, Tolbert Fowler,  Honorary pallbearers are Luke Davis and Tyler Davis.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 1800 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA 70605.  Visitation on Friday will be from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Howard Davis will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.

The family would like to offer heartfelt gratitude to friends and neighbors for surrounding them with love and care at this difficult time.

Jamie touched so many people with her faith and kindness. She was an inspiration to others. Jamie was angel to anyone she met and was always so friendly to my children while living in Windsor Court. I remember the excitement she shared when she just had her third baby girl and how proud the sweet two older sisters were! She was a remarkable person. Jamie lived a beautiful life and will be truly missed. Please reach out if there is anything we can do. Sending you all our love and prayers.

Jamie,
I know we have lost touch since school but I have continued to follow your amazing life on Facebook. You accomplished so much and had such a precious family.

We know that God is the only one with all the answers. It’s hard to fathom why you were taken at such a young age. However I do know that God will take wonderful care of you why you are waiting for your family to join you.

I know your girls will never forget their wonderful mommy. Every picture I saw on FB they were as happy as can be. Rest assure your husband and babies will think of you often. You will be looking over them from heaven. Rest In Peace Jamie, my prayers are headed to your family and friends

To the Dintinger family,

To belong to one of you was to belong to all of you. Your family is so welcoming and kind. I’ll never forget what it was like walking into your home and feeling like I was home as well. Jamie was a huge part of that for me, at school, and when I hung out with Laura also. Even years after I moved away, when coming to visit, your entire family welcomed me as if I never left. I am so sorry for all of your loss. Prayers for Jamie’s husband and daughters, for sure!

When I think of Jamie, I think of roller blading around Sleepy Hollow, wearing green face masks to enhance our beauty, and listening to country music. She and I had so much fun in middle school and I have so many fond memories of her and I just being goofy girls. I am so sorry to the Dintinger and Billideaux families. Jamie was a beautiful person who lit up a room. My heart is breaking with everyone else’s. I take comfort in her presence in heaven.

There are no words to express the sorrow that we are feeling at the loss of sweet Jamie. I hope you know that we are here for anything that we can do for you as you have always been there for us. At times like this we question why but we must have faith that God is always with us through all of life’s trials.
