Happy Anniversary Daddy-O!

Jamie was one-of-a-kind. Despite knowing him for a relatively short period of time, he felt like my long-lost (and super fun) uncle. I got the sense during our time together that he was joyful, the type of man who would search for the silver lining in any situation. He fought bravely until the very end; he was a peaceful warrior. It was beautiful to witness his network of support grow, including his loving family, friends, and neighbors. I will never forget our workouts, laughs, picture projects, tight hugs, enjoying various TV shows on the comfy couch with BB, nutritional talks, learning how to tie a tie, and our time on the deck being kissed by the sun! Jamie, you are so loved. Thanks for inspiring me. I feel honored to have met you. I feel blessed to know your family.

Jamie, Julie, Michael & Family - My sincere condolences. It's wonderful that you all had so much quality time with him over the last couple of years. Memories you will forever cherish. Your dad, as you know, was highly intelligent with an engineering mind, taking great care with any project he undertook. Jaime was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. And yes, for any animal in need.
If memory serves me, the first time meeting Jamie was when we all met in Grove, Oklahoma for his and Linda's wedding. Aunt Linda was madly in love with him. Before and after the marriage, Jamie was all she talked about. I don't think Jamie quit smiling the whole time that weekend. They were like a couple of teenagers giving their vows - a little nervous, but ecstatic.
I am glad he is at peace now, and I imagine he is probably travelling with Aunt Linda somewhere out there in the cosmos, or soaring in the breeze through the redwoods they loved so much.

I would like to share a fond memory I have of my Uncle Jamie. I always remember him as a soft and quiet person, with many varied interests. When he and my mom were young, they all lived in Morocco. I remember visiting my Uncle Jamie, Aunt Donna and my cousins at their jome in California and eating cous cous, veggies and meat, Moroccan-style, out of a huge communal bowl that we all sat around. They placed it on the coffee table in the living room so we sat on the floor and scooped with tasty flat bread and our hands. It was such a fun, cultural experience! I have also attached some photos from a newspaper article in the Roanoke Times, from 1967. Uncle Jamie and Aunt Donna used to ride motorcycles to work. They didn't own a car and rode instead! Their poodle, Poochie, often rode along with them. I will miss my uncle, he was so bright, funny and full of knowledge about all kinds of things.

I remember when Aunt Thelma, Uncle Joe, Maureen and Jamie came to Coalville, Iowa from French Morocco. They stayed with us for a while. Maureen and my brother Rich were the same age and Jamie and I were the same age. We had such a good time together. We would go sleigh riding on toy land hill and ice skate on the Des Moines River in the Winter. It was so fun the four of us sharing Cousin time. Jamie will be so missed, but I know he is well and whole now in his Heavenly Home sharing with loved ones there. So thankful he doesn´t have to suffer any longer. Love you Jamie, hugs for our loved ones there

I will always remember Jaime with that big smile on his face and his sparkling eyes. I was always impressed with his love for Linda and his family. Towards the end, I was able to have a heartfelt conversation with him on the phone. I miss him and Linda but I know they´re together now.

Fond memories of us together as kids, living for a time at grandpa and grandma´s Fullers house in Iowa, Pillow fights and building snow forts in the winter, frying eggs fresh off the farm for our breakfast. RIP, dear sweet brother.

He is my dad so I would have to say working on cars together. Often times he would be holding me over and engine to reach into the tight spaces. Riding motorcycle with him.

My favorite memorys of Daddy-O was happening work on the dune buggy in Virginia and motorcycle camping. We went to the beach as soon as we moved to California. Staying up late on Saturday nights when I was watching creature features and drinking beer floats are treasure memorys.

We worked with sandbags to reinforce the parking area. Jamie was a real hard worker and I tried to keep up. I was amazed at him being my senior and yet being such a strong worker. I also remember him drawing a big tree in mapping the path home. He was very meticulous and loving.
