Goodbye to an amazing and wonderful person. I'll miss our walks and talks around the shorelines of Vancouver. Jan you were the most optimistic, happy go lucky person I ever knew! Thank you for all your support when Ole passed on. I'll miss finding you and Ole deep in sild (pickled herrings) and snaaps at my parent's house. You were and still are such an inspiration to me--not a few times I wished I had grown up in your household. My deepest sympathy to Phillipa, Lisa, Peter, Tamara and Kirsten. Til we meet again old friend! lots of love Helle

I was hired by Jan in the year 2000. I worked with him for 8 years and we became a very close friend and were with him till the last day of his life. What an honor it was to be and work with Jan. He was a human being with big heart-which never failed when it came to share it with others and cared the most for the people around him. He was a genius and inventor with lot of contribution to the technology. He was an angel in human body and now he has gone to where he is belong too.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to his immediate family Anne Marry-Chirsten,
philippa, Tamara and his son Peter whom did a great job in supporting their father during his battle with cancer till the last minutes of his life.
He will be remembered among us as a man of wisdom, courage and help.
He will be greatly missed.
May his soul rest in perfect peace!

Love
