Jane Boyd Anderson

Jane Boyd Anderson, age 82, of Victor, New York, died peacefully Friday October 13, 2023.

Jane, born July 5, 1941, in LeRoy, NY, was the daughter of Mahry and Blaisdell Boyd. Jane graduated from Leroy High School in 1959. While attending Chamberlain School of Retailing, in Boston MA, Jane met Peter Anderson, her husband of 61 years. After leaving Boston, the Andersons moved to Princeton NJ, then Moorestown NJ, then Pittsford NY, and finally to Victor NY.

Throughout her life Jane was an avid golfer and bridge player. While skilled at both, Jane's passion showed most in her gardening. She planted an exquisite multi-season garden at the family home in Pittsford and later created a garden near their Victor home with the help of friends and neighbors.

Jane was an active member of the Moorestown Field Club, Sunnybrook Swim Club (where as team mom she would assemble dozens of hoagies for the team to eat on swim meet days), and later served on the board of the Clifton Springs Country Club. She was an active member of the Pittsford Garden Club and many bridge circles, developing friendships in each. After moving to Victor, Jane played mahjong with a small group of friends who brought joy to her in the last few years.

Jane is survived by her husband Peter, son Scott, daughter Julie (Marty), her five grandchildren: Jake Anderson, Tristan Anderson, Genevieve Fayette-Lance (Dylan), James Fayette, and Gabriel Fayette, as well as one great granddaughter, Viola Fayette-Lance. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Williams and various cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jane is preceded in death by her brother Bill Boyd.

Jane was a loving and compassionate friend and mother. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and say the words that needed to be heard. At Jane's request no services will be held.
