Dear Tasso, Dana and Lisa, my condolences on your loss. I fondly remember our gatherings at your home in Pittsburgh and Jane's love and interest to all of us, Greek students then, that made us feel part of your family. I am sorry for being so late, I just heard it from Kakia. My sympathy and love to you.

My sincerest condolences to you, Tasso - and to your family - on your grievous loss. Jane was a truly remarkable person who brightened and enlightened all of those around her, with her intelligence, her charm and her brilliance. This is truly a loss to you and to your family - and to any of us who were lucky enough to have known her in any way.

Dear Tasso, Lisa and Dana,
Oh my, I was sorry to hear about your beautiful wife and mother passing. As a child and adolescent over the many years at Lisa's house I was in awe of Jane. She was so hip and stylish and avant garde, with no offense to any of our other mothers, Jane was like a dream. All the many hours spending time in the fascinating house Tasso designed and built, your entire family was beyond my imagination. I feel so fortunate to have had Lisa for a friend then, and am grateful for all the love and life that she and Dana and your parents showed us. Leslie, Anne and I, we all just lived the life at your house with it's swimming pool, guest house and horse stables. I remember your mother had her easels being a painter, I didn't know any painters, she wore jeans and had beautiful long hair. There was your kind maid, Julia, with green beans in a colander for us to snack on. Your family opened my eyes to a whole world of style and success and an imagination that touched my soul and still does to this day. Tasso used to tell me to ask my parents to consider voting Democratic, showed us Greek dances and more. Tasso and Jane were out of another world, a beautiful one at that. You all have my deepest sympathies as you grieve her death. She was like a movie star and so fascinating to read all about her here. She was very accomplished and a lovely woman indeed. I wish you all every good thing. I know you will miss her terribly. with love, Carolyn Reid Kickhofel

Dear Lisa,
I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. I remember you from O;Hara JHS, and obviously a lot has happened since then. Still. all of us only have one Mom, and it's very tough to lose her.
