Jane Marilyn Stacey-Merrill

On May 3rd Jane Stacey-Merrill passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in North Conway New Hampshire, after a long, painful battle with cancer.

Janie was born in Cambridge on September 2, 1955 to Frederick and Theresa Stacey.

She is survived by her daughter Callie Lane, her son Mark Merrill-Lane and his wife Valerie, her granddaughter, Mikayla Boucher, great grandson, Grayson Margeson, sisters, Susan Keating, her husband, Jack, and Mary Stacey-Smith, and brothers, Jimmy Stacey and Mark Stacey, his wife, Crissy, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, R2.

Janie was predeceased by her husband, William Merrill III, her daughter, Melissa Boucher, her parents, Fred and Theresa Stacey and her brother, Michael Stacey.

Janie graduated from Belmont High in Belmont, Massachusetts. She went on to become a nurse, graduating from Youville Nursing School in Cambridge. She began her nursing career working in Youville Hospital, the Belmont Manor Nursing Home followed by The Cliff House in Conway, New Hampshire and Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Janie will be remembered as a fighter, especially when wanting the best for her children. As a mother and nurse she was compassionate to all. Many friends and family members were blessed with her generous and loyal spirit, as well as her great sense of humor, which she demonstrated even in times of difficulty. After surviving many hardships during her life, Janie was confident that God was saving her one of His best mansions in Heaven.

Jane will be buried next to her husband, Bill, in Keasarge Cemetery in North Conway New Hampshire after a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Mountains, 2905 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH with a celebration of life in the church hall following the burial.
