of Leominster; 88

LEOMINSTER -- Janeann (Faherty) Boyden, 88 years old, died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2015 at Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.

She was predeceased by Robert W. Boyden in 2011, her husband of 63 years, Claire A. Boyden Price in 1997, her daughter and Thomas J. Faherty in 1973, her brother. She was also predeceased by Mary Gertrude (O'Flynn) Faherty, her mother and Thomas Joseph Faherty, her father, and Ann Margaret (Kenney) his second wife who helped raise Janeann.

She is survived by five sons, Thomas J. Boyden and significant other Kathleen Herard of Leominster, Charles C. Boyden and wife Maureen (Kerrigan) of Pelham, NH, William B. Boyden and significant other Vivian Civita of Leominster, David W. Boyden and wife Julie (Fraser) of Leominster, Kevin F. Boyden and wife Carmen Felicia of Leominster, three daughters, Janeanne Boyden Arsenault and husband Michael of Leominster, Roberta M. Beyroutey and husband Frederick of Leominster, Kathleen A. Gallant and husband Stephen of Leominster, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including Paula (Faherty) Sparks, Phillip Faherty and Caron Faherty.

Janeann was born April 30, 1926 in Worcester and graduated from Clinton High School in 1944. She had lived in Leominster since the early 1950's. Janeann had worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone in Clinton and Leominster many years ago. She was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster, where she was the treasurer of the Women's Guild. She also had volunteered in the cafeteria and library at Fall Brook School in Leominster.

Her charitable contributions included food pantries, community food banks and feeding those in need.

The family would like to thank The Montachusett Home Care and The Associated Home Care's personnel care homemakers, especially, Evelyn Rodriguez.

BOYDEN -- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster. All guests are invited to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 4-7 p.m. in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster.
