Janell Foley

Janell Ellen Foley, age 51, of Clear Lake, died, July 3, 2013, at her home in Clear Lake. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 8th , 2013, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in rural Dassel with the interment at the Swan Lake Cemetery, rural Dassel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7th, 2013, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. The funeral service is being arranged by the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. Janell Ellen (Giedd) Foley, the daughter of Harold Henry and JoAnn (Priebe) Giedd, was born on November 8, 1961, in Mitchell, South Dakota. Janell grew up in the Chamberlain, South Dakota area where she graduated from the Chamberlain High School. Janell was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. On November 22, 1979, Janell was united in marriage to John Foley in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Together they made their home in the Chamberlain South Dakota and then the Clear Lake, Minnesota area. Janell was a dedicated caregiver who had a loving heart and would take care of everyone, especially her children, grandchildren and her husband. She enjoyed her family, and the time spent with her children and her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, gardening, taking walks, and watching the sunset with her husband. She will be missed by her family and all of her friends. She is survived by her husband John Foley of Clear Lake, children, Jarmon (Anna) Foley of Clearwater, Jevon (Krista Foley of Big Lake, Jadian (Cinda) Foley of Becker, and Joscelyne (Tyson) Stewart of Big Lake, twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, JoAnn Giedd of Chamberlin, South Dakota, siblings, Paul Giedd of Chamberlain, South Dakota and Cindy (Dave) Haugland of Rapid City, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her father Harold and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
