Janell Clark Wilkerson passed away on June 30, 2016 after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. Janell was born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma on October 2, 1941 and soon moved with her family to Lamont. She met her husband Chester there when she was only 15 and they shared almost 60 years of marriage together. Janell has a large family that she loved with all her heart. Her daughter Brenda Thompson and spouse Dan, daughter Michele Valdivieso and spouse Juan, granddaughter Kristen Chicca and spouse Caleb, granddaughter Amy Punt and spouse Billy, grandson Stephen Wilkerson, brother Albert Clark and spouse Virginia, sister Patsy Bruce and spouse Kenny, and great grandsons Blake, Dylan and Zane, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Janell was preceded in death by her parents Henry David and Eva Clark, brothers Delbert, Roy and David Lee and sisters Chlokeeta and Mary Helen. She lived in Bakersfield, McKittrick, Taft, Pismo Beach and most recently Arroyo Grande. In all of these places she made lifelong friends who will miss her but cherish the memories of their time together. Family and friends were always important to Janell and we rejoice that one day we will be reunited with her in Heaven.
A celebration of Janell's life will be held at 11am, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at New Life Community Church 990 James Way, Pismo Beach.

Just thinking of you tonight Grandma. You were such a brave, kind, loving and generous person. I miss you every day. Family was so important to you but it seems every time we get together something is missing because you aren't there. I know you're healthy and happy in heaven with Jesus and I can't to see you again someday. Thank you for teaching me what is truly important: faith and family. I love you!
