Janelle (Fric) Aston Obituary
Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 15, 2025.
Janelle Marie (Fric) Aston passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family surrounded by love and respect on January 9, 2025. She had the most gentle and kind soul and she had the warmest heart and gave the best hugs.
Janelle is survived by her husband (Terry Aston), her sisters (Karen) and Charlie White, (Sandra) and Micheal Rounsavall, (Sylvia) and Kirk jones and brother (Al Jr) and Jessica Fric. Her daughter Hollie and Anthony Mikes, her son Danny Reed Jr and Joeley, Terry's daughter Brandi and Justin Cooper and Terry's son Ty and Kaylii Aston. Her grandchildren Jake and Allie Mikes, Cheyenne Reed, Isaiah, June and Ever Aston, Braylen Aston-Jackson and Ciara Trujillo.
Preceded in death by her parents Janice and Al Fric Sr.
Janelle waged a brave and courageous battle with ovarian cancer at MD Anderson for 11 years and never backed down. Cancer is tough but she proved that cancer lives in you and that it doesn't have to be you. She would tell every cancer survivor to live each day to the fullest, enjoy your loved ones and never give up hope!
She married Terry Aston, the love of each other's life, on Oct 23 1998 in Lake Tahoe, NV and their adventure began.
Janelle loved to travel and to enjoy the different people, lifestyles and food from other places far and wide. It could be across Texas or across American or across the oceans wherever her curiosity and quest for fun took her and she enjoyed every minute. Her favorite place to visit and where they went many times was Kauai. The laid-back lifestyle, the ocean breeze, the peaceful feeling watching the sunset over Hanalei Bay with the mountain Bali Hai in the background was the nuts. (poker term).
There also wasn't a casino in the United States that was safe!! If there was a casino she had a players card. If there was a slot machine it had a chance to be her favorite. She had a glow about her at all times anyway but with the lights and sounds of the machines everything was kicked up a notch and the smile on her was priceless.
Janelle's experience and background was in the transportation and the chemical business and in 2001 her and Terry co-founded Alpha Marine Solutions. When anyone was hired the first thing that Terry told them was that Janelle is the brains and he is the legs and to listen to her and it would be all good. And it was.
She said many times it was the best job she ever had. With Alphas Marine Solutions vendors and customers, she was a very respected and trusted friend and to Alpha Marines employees they were truly considered family and loved.
Around this spot on the earth she really enjoyed spending time at the family ranchita in Grapeland, TX, The 4D Ranch, where Janelle felt a peaceful and healing energy in the woods. She spent so much time there and she put her mark on so many things in so many ways. If anyone walks in the house and says "wow this is nice" it's Janelle. Her way of making things better applied not only to people but anything that had her touch.
Janelle was a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt and a cousin to many and loved them all. And believe me they all knew that because if there was a birthday, a birth, a wedding or whatever special event Janelle would whip out her cricket and "it was on"! She could and would create anything to add to the occasion and she loved to be a part of any celebration with the family.
But maybe most importantly Janelle was an Oma. And a grandparent would understand this - that she loved her grandchildren like no other. Whether its crafting or giving them projects to work on or baking cookies or cakes or just hugs in her recliner or maybe camping out with them in the living room on sleep overs, she absolutely felt like she was in heaven with all of them. And who says heaven can't be on earth?
The grandkids love her so much and have so many memories of her that her the final wish of her life came true. It was to beat cancer long enough so that she would get to know and more importantly love all of her grandkids, with all of her heart, because that was the one thing missing in her life that she desperately wanted. And just as important that they would be old enough to remember her. She lived 11 years after diagnosis and Hollies oldest son Jake is 11 years old. Mission accomplished, job well done.
This world is a better place because Janelle was in it and isn't that what we all hope they can say about all of us when it's time for us to go home.
Rest in peace Janelle and hug your Mom and Dad and all the loved ones who have been waiting for you. Until we meet again, we all love and miss you so much and you will always in our heart and your memory will be cherished forever...
