Janet was born in Flint, Michigan on February 16, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Vera McInnes.
Her late husband Pete, children and grandchildren were the center of her life. Grandma Jan cherished spending time with all her grandchildren and prioritized never missing any of their events. She spoiled them every chance she could. Many family memories were made at Black Lake. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, and antiquing with Pete.
In recent years, Jan enjoyed spending time helping others with her Calvary Community Church family. Jan had a kind, loving heart, and never met a stranger. She made this world a better place.
Her legacy will be carried on through her family and friends.

Janet was a frequent visitor to our library in Swartz Creek. She always made time to visit and had many funny stories, observations and wisdom to share with us. She absolutely made this world a better place.

Sending hugs and prayers to all of you. I loved your mom I actually spent time with her back in the day, when we were both much younger. She will be back with Pete, I hope that gives you comfort.

Well done Tracy in giving a tribute to your mom that conveys who and what she was in the world. Your expression "she made the world a better place" is so true and the epitome of what she was. In encompasses what she was but does not convey completely her influence on those she loved and showed that love to. Easy to say but not easy to do day after day making others feel better just because they are and are loved. She leaves a hole in the love universe and will be missed with the memories of those she loved and gave herself to. Here's hoping Jan you are seeing Pete, your dad and mom even the grandparents your high school buddies. Love to you cuz. You have earned all this love.
