Janet Ward Campbell (nee Cliff) - Died on September 14, 2016 at 9:30 p.m. at her home in Vancouver surrounded by family. Janet was a voracious reader, amazing cook, world traveller, wonderful hostess, fantastic grandmother, and a generous but sometimes stubborn woman. Janet is predeceased by her son, Malcolm Cliff Campbell; and her beloved husband, Bill Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Campbell; son, Angus Campbell; and her dear grandson, Nathaniel Law. The family would like to thank Dr. D. McLachlan for her kindness, humour and compassion; and the nurses of Evergreen Nursing who took care of Janet with special recognition to Maryam and Deborah who made Janet's last day comfortable and peaceful. A special thanks to Hal Houlding for marshalling and guiding the family in a difficult time. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral located at 690 Burrard Street, Vancouver on Saturday, September 24 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Tweedledum Foundation c/o Genus Capital Management 860 - 980 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 0C8.

Janet, you were such a wonderful, generous person. Thank you for the gift of flight, for believing in me, and for the sharing your son - my best friend Angus - with me. I think about your kindness (and your abruptness!) often, and both qualities make me smile. You are truly missed.

Maggie and Angus, it has been too long since I saw Janney.. I haven't seen her since I bought the farm... we spoke a few times and she was going to visit. I have thought of her often. I know she was very proud of her children. If ever you need an older voice or to come and pat a horse, I am here for you.
