Janet Ruth Cseak

North Port, FL - Janet Ruth Sibert Cseak, 80, of North Port, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after an extended illness. Remaining to cherish Janet's memory are her husband Carl A. Cseak of Port Charlote, Florida; stepdaughters Lynda (Bruce) Calabrese of Naples, FL and Lee Ann Hoffman of Johnsville, OH and their children Johnathan Calabrese, Steven Calabrese, Stone Hoffman and Case Hoffman. Janet is also survived by her sister Jeanne Sibert Henderhan of Massillon, OH and nieces Wendi Salvia (Susan) of Columbus, OH and Heidi Henderhan of Massillon, OH and her sons Reece and Cameron Turpin. Also surviving are many loving Sibert and Moretta cousins and Janet's most cherished friend of over 50 wonderful years, Alice Nowell of North Canton, OH.

Janet was born in Canton, Ohio on April 27, 1945, daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Manly) Sibert. She was preceded in death by step-son-in-law Tim Hoffman; brother-in-law Gregory Henderhan and her beloved aunts and uncles: Carl and Onalette "Nonie" Sibert and Otho "June" and Ruth Moretta.

Janet atended Lincoln High School, Canton OH and then graduated from Perry High School, Massillon OH and Otterbein University, Westerville OH. She later received her Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Janet was employed as a school psychologist in the Jackson Local and North Canton City School Districts until she and Carl relocated to Apopka, Florida where she served in a similar position in the Lake County School District. Over the years she helped many children and their families navigate life's challenges.

Among her many hobbies, Janet was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game for many years. Her love of music and singing started at an early age and while at Otterbein University she travelled to Europe performing with the elite Concert Choir. Throughout the years, Janet and Carl also enjoyed sailing and traveling with friends and family. Janet will always be remembered for her deep appreciation for music, passion for the beach and love of Florida sunshine.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at Central Presbyterian Church, Massillon OH. A light reception will immediately follow the service in the Church fellowship hall. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Tidewell Hospice and Sun Harbor Healthcare, Port Charlote, Fl for their kindness and care of Janet throughout her illness and final days.
