Janet Foshee Obituary
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff where she served as a pianist and taught Sunday school. She was a graduate of McNeese University and worked as a nurse for Moss Regional Hospital prior to her retirement. She also volunteered at ABC Pregnancy Resource Center. She continued to take music lessons including piano, violin, and cello. She was always learning and taking classes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Ms. Foshee is survived by two sons Eric Foshee and wife Holly of Moss Bluff, James Foshee and wife Candice of Moss Bluff, daughter Jennifer Phillips and husband Evan of Rhome, Tx., grandchildren Michael and Matti Foshee, Margaret Phillips, brothers Vaughn Eggleston and wife Shanna of Moss Bluff, Ralph Eggleston of San Rafael, Ca., sisters Phyllis Feaster and husband Gary of Benton, La., Carol Cahill and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, Ok., numerous nieces and nephews, and a foster child.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Elizabeth Eggleston, and her daughter Stephanie Carol Foshee.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff and will resume Thursday morning at First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff from 10am til time of service. Funeral Service will be at 11am Thursday April 14, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Lake Charles. Eric Foshee will officiate. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
In lieu of flowers, memorials to be made to Samaritan's Purse or Ordinary Discipleship Training at CrossRoads Church of Moss Bluff.

Janet was my teacher of my Womans adult Sunday school class at First Baptist years ago. She was such a caring and wonderful person. I learned so much in her class. She was such an inspiration me. My condolences to her family

What a treasure Janet was to anyone that knew her! Always kind and gentle, helpful and talented, willing to do whatever needed to be done for the cause of Christ. I know without a doubt that she has many jewels in her crown to cast at the feet of Jesus! She will be greatly missed.

Janet was such a beautiful and sweet lady and young lady, as we went through school together - from Marion Elementary through High School. She had a beautiful & kind heart and was always a joy to be around. I remember how well she played the piano when we were in Jr. High, she would play for our Sunday School gathering at Bethel. I had not seen her since high school, but she came to my mothers funeral visitation just a few years back - her love, kindness, love of God really shines through in this beautiful picture of her! Prayers for her family and all those that loved her.........

I count myself blessed to have met Ms. Foshee just a couple of weeks ago and to have had her as a guest in my home. May God provide comfort to the entire family during this time of sudden loss. I pray for God to remove the sorrow and pain and replace it with His peace and love. I was able to meet Jenny's mom, Janet, at Jenny and my brother Evan's wedding- what a pleasure it was to meet her and in the short time I did I could see God's love abundantly flowing from her heart! What a wonderful mom and grandma she was to her children and grandchildren.
