Delafield resident, Janet C. Kowaleski (Goldscmidt) passed away at age 90 peacefully at her home on October 25th, 2021. Per her request, no service will be held. Janet, "Jan," was born on November 12, 1930 to Earnest and Florence Goldschmidt in West Aliis, WI. She was a big sister to Donald Goldschmidt and little sister to Russell Reutter. In young adulthood, she was always studious, artistic, and loved playing trombone. Oftentimes she'd travel up to Waupaca to visit friends and family whereupon she met and fell in love with Robert Rice. She attended the Layton School of Art out of high school then pursued a position working at Allis Chalmers. Soon thereafter, she married Robert and had two Children, Cheryl and Karla. She remained close to her brother, Donald and his wife, Darlene and their children, Susan, David, and Karen. As her children grew older, she went back to school to become a kindergarten teacher at St. Joan Antida in West Allis, WI. She would end up teaching 23 fulfilling years there and touching the lives of hundreds of students. She prided herself in caring for her students everyday at work while maintaining an immaculate household at home. It is safe to say she wanted the best for everyone. Janet became a hot shot in bowling. She was in quite a few leagues and almost always would be the top scorer wining numerous tournaments and frequently getting published in the local newspapers. She was also a huge sports fan always rooting for the Brewers, Bucks, and Green Bay Packers right up to the very end. Despite her many talents and hobbies, family was her top priority. She became a grandmother to Tina and Brittany then soon after a great grandmother to Nadia. There was not a gymnastic meet, pom competition, school performance, or birthday she did not attend. She helped her family flourish and was always there to support them. Janet was always full of spunk, sassiness, and always looked amazing with impeccable hair. She adapted the name "Sexy Lady" in which she would encourage, jokingly embrace, and live up to. Towards her final months in life she was constantly surrounded and supported by her immediate family. They were dedicated in ensuring her life was filled with love and support to the very end.
