Janet Ann Lynch

Janet Ann Lynch, also known as Jan Lynch, passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 68 in League City, Texas. She was born on December 2, 1955, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Geanette Howell and Bobbie Lee Smith. Jan was preceded in death by her mother, her father, her first husband Gary M Hollman, her grandmother Alese Howell (affectionately known as Biggie Momma), and her aunt Linda Glass.

Janet, or Jan as she preferred to be called, was a loving and devoted wife to Randell Lynch. She was also a proud and caring mother to her sons Greg and Derrick Hollman. Jan cherished her family and was adored by numerous nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janet attended George County High School in Mississippi. After high school, she embarked on a fulfilling career. For 10 years, Jan worked at Pearland Police Department as a Jailer, where she made a significant impact. She served as a Field Training Officer, sharing her expertise with new jailers and earning the title of Jailer of the Year. Jan's dedication and hard work were appreciated by her colleagues and the officers she worked with.

Following her retirement from the Pearland Police Department, Jan found fulfillment in her role as a Paraeducator at Clear Brook High School. She had a special place in her heart for the special needs students she worked with. Jan's compassion and dedication made a positive difference in the lives of those she helped and her coworkers.

Janet's love for her community extended beyond her career. She worshipped at Sagemont Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith.

A memorial service celebrating Jan Hollman Lynch's life will be held on February 3rd at 10:30 am at Westward Church of Christ, located at 302 North Westward Street, Texas City, Tx 77591.

In honor of Jan's passion for caring for those in need, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Forgotten Angels Foundation in Jan Hollman Lynch's name. Contributions can be made online at https://forgottenangels.org. May her legacy of compassion and generosity live on.

Janet Ann Lynch was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know her.

Jan, will truly be missed in our Hearts Department at Clearbrook. She always had something funny to say and of coarse she always had a flare about her. I had the pleasure working with her all these years. Rest in Peace

Jan was so much fun to work with! She was passionate, outspoken, and funny! You never knew just exactly what she was going to say, but it was always exactly what she believed. I observed her tenderness when she worked with the special needs gentlemen and the PD, and her firmness when she came to work with us in the Jail. I will treasure my journey with Jan. She made an impact in so many lives.
