Janet Marie McGivern

Janet McGivern (nee Maurer), 68, of Glenview, IL passed away peacefully at her home on July 11, 2025. She came to her final rest surrounded by a home full of family and friends. Janet was born in Chicago on July 12, 1956 to William and Elizabeth Maurer. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Janet is survived and missed dearly by her husband Timothy; her son Brian (Alicia); her cherished grandchildren Nell and Jack; her brother Marty Maurer (Sophie); her brother and sister- in-laws Maureen 'Muffy' (the late Richard) Collins, Molly Wade, and Kevin (Sydney) McGivern; many adored nieces and nephews; and close friend Theresa. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth. She was blessed to have the company of our newest and very dear friend, Jul. She was tirelessly and diligently cared for by the Glenbrook and Evanston Hospitals ICU and Surgical teams. A special thank you to the 4 Searle South nursing and care team for making her feel at home.
