Janet McVicker Obituary

Janet K. McVicker, 66, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Sunday, November 7, 2004, at her home. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The Rev. Melissa A. McDade will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004, in Gardens of Faith Memorial Park 5598 Trump Mill Road, Baltimore, Md. Born September 7, 1938, in Manheim, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late David Ralph McVicker and Mary Elizabeth (Bolyard) Leuice. Janet retired from the Social Security Administration, Baltimore, Md., after 30 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach. Surviving are a sister, Marilyn A. Robertson of Glen Rock; a stepbrother, Steve Hummel of Essex, Md.; a niece, Janelle E. Barnes; four nephews, James E. III, Dennis D., Jeffrey A. and Michael J. Robertson; and 12 greatnieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Al-Anon, 1600 Corporate Landing Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23454-5617; or to Animal Rescue, PO Box 35, Maryland Line, MD 21105.
