Janet Susan Ulfsparre Bronte

Englewood - Janet Susan Ulfsparre Bronte returned to the sunlight and seabreeze on October 24, 2025, in Venice, Florida, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Janet grew up in Pittsford, New York, where she developed a deep love for nature and animals. A top graduate of Pittsford-Mendon High School in 1977, she went on to study art education at Nazareth College on a full scholarship. Later, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY New Paltz, where she was honored as "Senior of the Year."

Janet began her family in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1980 with Joseph Bronte. While raising two young children, she launched a career in advertising that quickly flourished. Starting part-time at the Millbrook Post newspaper, she rose to become director of promotions at Gannett Newspapers and later served as director of advertising for Rochester's City Newspaper.

A perennial entrepreneur Janet launched her first business, Deco Graphix, from her home. In the 1990s, she launched On Track Marketing, which evolved alongside the digital age. By the early 2000s, after relocating to Florida, she had become a respected expert in internet marketing and search engine optimization.

Janet is lovingly remembered by her children Valerie, James, and Max; grandchildren Seymour and Aaron; siblings Eric Ulfsparre, Laura (Lukens) Ulfsparre, Astrid Weinkle (Ulfsparre), Karlen Murray (Ulfsparre), and Kristen Matthew (Ulfsparre); nieces Terah, Erica, Brette, Laura, Daena; nephew Christopher; and her trusted friend John Cooper. She was predeceased by her parents Barbara (Burdett) and Lars Ulfsparre.
