East Bend- Janet Irene Vestal, 56, of East Bend, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. She was born in Yadkin County on March 8, 1962 to Winfred Elbert and Pearlie Steelman Vestal. Janet was very happy, kind, and loving. She loved her family, church, friends at New Horizons Adult Day Services, and the Boonville group home (That her parents worked very hard to get built), and also her roommate at YNNC, Judy Gray. Janet was the center of our circle and now the circle is broken. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her brother, James Vestal, Jerry (Terri) Vestal, JW (Myra) Vestal, Jimmy (Margaret) Vestal, Joel (Patricia) Vestal, and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Forbush Friends Meeting with the Rev. Ray Lambe, Rev. Jake Penley, and Rev. Joel Vestal. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank New Horizons Adult Services, Home Place Group Home, Yadkin Nursing Care, and Mountain Valley Hospice, for their loving care of Janet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Horizons Adult Day Services, Inc., ATTN: Leah Hanes, PO Box 1969, Yadkinville, NC 27055. This money will be used for activities for the kids. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Vestal family. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
