Janette Navarro
February 2, 1950 - February 5, 2021
Boise, Idaho - Janette Pickens Navarro passed away peacefully on Friday February 5, 2021. Jan was born on February 2, 1950 to Cassel and Wilma Pickens, and was the third of six children. Janette was born and raised in Boise Idaho and attended Cole Elementary, West Junior High and Capital High School. While at Capital High, she met and later married her high-school sweet heart, Dave Navarro, and from that union two sons were born, Paul and Christopher.
Jan had a love for her family, fast cars, and four legged animals. She'll always be remembered for her bear hugs, her unconditional love for her boys, despite all the headaches and trouble they caused her, her grandchildren which were the center of her universe, her '77 MGB, her Mustang convertible, and all her dogs and cats over the years. She was also a remarkable cook, baker and home-maker, as well as a friend to many, a loving aunt, cousin, niece, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cassel and Wilma Pickens, as well as her older brother John. She is survived by her sons Paul (Lauren) Navarro of Boise Idaho, Christopher (Jennifer) Navarro of Bremerton Washington, as well as five grandchildren, Bailey, Alex, Nick, Clover, and Ellie. She is also survived by her brothers, Martin, Jay (Gayle), Gary and Don, and sister-in-law Margaret Pickens.
Due to Mom's great love of animals, we ask that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Idaho Humane Society.
