Hello Mom. This photo is a bit late. This is your great granddaughter, Ellie Ann. She is now seven months old! She is perfect in every way. I will try to do a better job on posting. But, I know you certainly can see from HEAVEN above, everything that is transpiring. Love and miss you...each and every day. Much Love- Cindy

Hello, Mom. As you are well aware...we are grandparents, and you and dad are GREAT-grandparents! We are truly blessed with the arrival of Jaxson Gordon Rick. Miss and LOVE you so much.

Hi Mom,

Again, sorry it has been so long. I am certain you see the sunshine, and the upcoming wedding for Kyle and Erin. I wish so much you could be here on earth to join the event. However, I have no doubt you will be with us in spirit.
Love and miss you. Especially now.

Hi Mom,
Yet another , Christmas has come and gone. I remember you having your gift shopping done so soon....and me, struggling to have gifts by Christmas! You always hosted such a wonderful Christmas Eve feast..so many different choices for appetizers. Your "Chinese Chicken Wings" were always the BEST!
We had another nice time at Pam and Gordon's. Lot's of people, played Yahtzee as always.
Kyle and Erin went ring shopping! Looks as though the time has finally come that Kyle will be proposing in the near future?? You know, I am so excited right?!
Dad continues to do well. Purchased him a new
"teak wood" cane for Christmas. He is styling now!
I miss you...but, know you are looking down upon us, with grandmas and grandpa...Judy and Larry..and Tim.
Knowing, you celebrate together in Heaven brings comfort.
Until next time,
Love you and think of you all of the time...especially this time of the year.
Love,
Cindy

Sorry, I have not posted to you in a very long time. Funny, how life is so crazy...no excuse though.
We are heading to Cancun this week. Along with our friends, Cheryl and Rob....Kyle and Erin are joining us! So excited to be able to vacation with them.
Dad is still doing exceptionally well. I speak with him almost every day and visit him as much as possible.
Pam, Gordon and kids are also doing well. Everyone is growing up so fast!
I think of you often, and still miss our phone conversations.
Love you.

Well Mom...if you were here on earth; we would be celebrating your 78th birthday tomorrow!
Things are going well here. Dad is doing great but, misses you dearly.
Kyle and Erin plan to move in together sometime soon.
Erin is a wonderful person and cares for Kyle so much. She is a loving and giving person as were you.
Makes me so happy.
Love and miss you so much.
Xoxo

Mom, we had an awesome Thanksgiving dinner this year. Stuffing did not turn out like years past. Don't know why? Anyways, we miss and love you.

Mom, today would have been your 55th wedding anniversary.
Dad recalled how warm and nice it was 55 years ago today.
We love you..and miss you. Happy Anniversary..
Love always,

Mom,

Well, Kyle is finally leaving the "nest" for good.

He rented an apartment with a college roommate near Lake Minnetonka.

Kyle is so excited to finally get a place of his own!

Dad is still doing very well. See him every other week to get his "snacks." Funny, says he needs to start losing some weight..candy bars and ice cream will do that to you!

Thinking of you, as always, and all that have come to join you.

Love always,
~Cindy

Mom,
Tomorrow is the day you left us to join your family that resides in Heaven.

Not a day goes by that I do not think of you.
Dad is doing well..and we plan to visit Virgil and Janyce sometime in the near future.

Bobby and I with our friends just returned from Playa del Carmen Mexico. We had a wonderful time..as you probably already know :)

Kyle is busy at work..and we are looking for housing for him. We have found a few places and one just a block from Lake Minnetonka...his dream rental home!

Love and miss you everyday.

Hey Mom,
Another Holiday Season has come and gone. We had a wonderful time at Pam and Gordon's for a Christmas gathering the week prior to Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, it was a quiet night with Bobby and Kyle and I made your Chicken and Cream with Wild Rice. I can say for the first time ever it turned out!

Picked up Dad on Christmas Day and made Prime Rib. We had a nice time.

New Years Eve Kyle hosted a party with some of his college friends and we had some neighbors and friends over. Our home was packed...and had a ton of great food!

Your birthday is quickly arriving....

With love today and always,
~Cindy

Mom,
It has been several months since I have written you. But, as you probably know; I think of you all of the time.

Hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year. Last time was in 2010.

I hope you are finding peace and re-united with all that have come your way.

Trying to take care of dad the best I can. He misses you so much.

With Love,
Cindy

Happy Mothers Day!
I miss you.
Today, when I went shopping ( 5 different stores) I passed the section for Mother's Day Cards. Each time I thought...gotta get Mother's day a card...
Here is your card...as I know you will see it somehow.
Love you Mom. I think of you so often.

February 24, 2012

Mom,

It is hard to believe it has been 4 years that you have left us.

Missing you every day.

Love always,
Cindy

February 2, 2012

Mom,

As usual, I am late in everything. Your birthday has come and gone, but not all the memories.

It has been an very warm (so to speak for MN) this year..but, you probably already know that. :)

Unfortunately, Tim suffered a stroke of some sort last week. However, he is doing well and will be leaving the hospital soon. Hopeful, that he will recover quickly.

We are all doing well. Dad, is healthy as a horse! Just had his semi-annual physical and had a fantastic report of good health.

Entering February, I think a bit of my age..turning 53 in a few weeks. Yikes! But, it is just a number right?

Think of you all the time.

Love always,
Cindy

Mom,

Another Christmas is fast upon us. This year, we are hosting Xmas Eve. Doing "your" traditional appetizer fare.

Will never be able to do what you put together every Christmas Eve...you know, they don't even make "Chipsters" anymore! Remember them?

I am making your infamous chicken wings..or, at least I will try!

Dad is continuing to do well..but, I know he misses you so much...as do we.

Newsflash...Kyle has decided to "double major" so will stay at the U of M Crookston for another 2 semesters...Kyle is still with Katie. We love her like family.

Of course, I still procrastinate on Christmas shopping...so very busy with work. Thank goodness for the internet..not quite like the traditional mall shopping but, gets the job done. So much has changed in the aspect of Christmas shopping.

Hoping you will be looking upon us with great love while we celebrate this season. We love and miss you more than words can express.

~Cindy, Bobby and Kyle

October 8, 2011

Mom,

For some reason I thought of you so much today. It is not a special event or occasion.. so not quite sure why you are so vivid in my thoughts.

We are all doing well. I still miss Kyle a ton. He has a wonderful girlfriend..Katie. She is beautiful and so kind.

Kyle has some decisions to make as he will get his degree (thank goodness) and entering the "real world" of job searching!

Dad is doing well. With fall approaching; I will begin my Sunday meal making. Instead of Hungry Man frozen dinners...he will get some home cooked meals!

We are planning a trip to the Dominican Republic in January when Kyle is done with college. One last family vacation so to speak.

Hope the weather is fantastic where you are! Hoping it is like Maui.

Love and miss you,

~Cindy

Mom,

January, your birthday month. January 11th to be exact!

You know, the news says they have changed the astrological forecast. Hmmm.. Think that is so?
This world we live in gets crazier everyday.
I just watched the video of your life again...about the 25th time. I am so thankful to have this video. I can see your history and face whenever I want.. sure had some good times.
I always thought Kyle looked like me. Then, as he grew older I thought he looked like dad. Today, watching the video of "your life," I see much of you in Kyle. Funny how people's facial features change with time.
Kyle is searching for his LAST internship prior to graduating next December. He is hoping for a course in South Carolina. We will see how it turns out. Can't believe he has 2 sememsters left and he will complete his 4-years of college.
Remember, how distraught I was when he graduated high school and was going off to college? Wow!
I still wish I could pick up the phone (cell phones only now a day) and talk to you.
I think of you often.
Happy Birthday Mom...
Love you,
Cindy

Mom,

Thanksgiving is upon us. I am hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year. You know how I love to cook!
Dad, Pam, Gordon and the girls will join us. Kyle will be home as well so it will be great. The only thing missing is you...but, I am sure you will be looking over as I scurry to make the gravy before serving the dinner!
As we give thanks to everything life has given us, we will also give thanks to all the wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners you had made in the past. Always the best!

Love and miss you,
Cindy

Mom,

Well, summer is coming to a quick end. Driving around some areas have leaves starting to change color already!

Kyle is doing well his senior year at U of M Crookston. Can you believe he is now a senior? He had a great internship this summer in Arkansas. A bit ironic wouldn't you say? Arkansas of all places?

Dad is doing well. I know he misses you so much. I see him a couple times per week. Sometimes to go grocery shopping or take him to appointments. I try to make him some homemade meals but, they will never be as good as yours!

Pam, Gordon and girls are doing well. Maddy just entered her first year at Iowa State University. She is planning on following her mom's footsteps in Education.

Think of you often, miss you always.

Mom,

It's Memorial Weekend, 2010. Took Dad up to the lake. Saturday was a beautiful sunny day. Went on a ride around Shamineau.

Many changes continue.... as does life.

We are trying to keep many of your keepsakes in the cabin, while starting to change a few things to accomodate 2 families. Things may change cosmetically but, all of the wonderful memories will not.

We are planning to officially name the cabin "A Place In The Sun."

Xoxo,
Cindy

Mom,
It is soon approaching your wedding anniversary which would have been 52 years. As always, thinking about you and miss talking to you especially on "Dancing with the Stars" night! Since I do not make "Egg Fu Yung" like you could; I purchased them and brought them to dad. I am sure he is thinking they were not as good as you use to make...but he ate them anyway!
Think of you often; love you much.

Mom,
So today marks the 2 years since you left us. I am in great hopes that you are at peace. I think of you often, and miss our talks. Many things have changed this year. We can never go back in time; but can remember all of the wonderful times...that is what gets me through. I love you.
Love,

Mom,
Where has the time gone? We miss you so much and as the summer approaches think of Dad's birthday and your chicken dinner you prepared every year. You worked so hard to make sure it was perfect....and it always was.
Things are not the same without you here with us; but we know you are in a peaceful and safe place watching us... We are trying to follow in your footsteps with always preparing great food and making everyone happy at family gatherings. We love you forever. What do you think of "Pal"...can you believe Dad got a dog??? xoxo

To my mother:
You never realize how much your mom loves you until your explore the attic and find; every letter you ever sent , every finger painting, clay pot, Easter chicken, cardboard Santa, paperlace Mothers Day card and school report since day one. I miss our talks, I miss your voice. Your life lives within us, every day.

Gordy and girls: so sorry to hear of your loss. It was so sudden and we are shocked. Jan was a great gal. Will see you at the cabin this summer. So sorry we were out of town in Arizona and could not attend the funeral or viewing.

Hello to the Israelsons -
When my sister, Marilyn, told me of Jan's passing, it brought such a flood of childhood memories on Wisconsin Ave. My parents, Jim & Dorothy Coe, visited many times after we moved. Jan was such a great lady, I remember how chatty she was while working out in her garden, and what a beautiful home she kept. My younger sister, Cheri, played with the girls a lot. I'm sorry to hear of your loss and will let my dad know, he's in Texas for the winter. My mom has been gone for 8-1/2 years, so I guess time just marches on. We'll all be praying for you in your grief.

Hi Israelson family,
Even though we have not had contact for many years I wanted to say I'm sorry on your loss. My Dad passed on in 1996 and its not easy.

I remember Janice being full of life. She was a hard worker who took great care of her home and yard. I think of your family whenever I am on Wisconsin Ave. I loved the swedisih pancakes that Janice made for Cindy and I when we had our sleepovers. She was also willing to let us bake cakes in the easy bake oven. Those were the days....take care.
