Janice Kuebler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2025.
Janice Rose Kuebler (née Henrichs), age 85, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born June 26, 1939 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Edward W. Henrichs Sr. and Mildred (Barton) Henrichs, her early years were spent in Wisconsin before her family relocated to Michigan in 1945. On August 9th 1958, Janice married the love of her life, Fritz Kuebler. They settled in Saginaw where they raised their four boys. Janice graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Saginaw Valley State College and a Masters of Library Science from Central Michigan University-achievements that laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to education. Janice served as an adjunct professor at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), where she shared her love of writing. After relocating to Garland, TX in 1996 to be closer to her grandchildren, her talents as a Librarian found a home fostering her love for reading with the Garland Public Library and later, Amy Parks Elementary School. A gifted freelance storyteller, Janice brought tales to life across diverse audiences-even traveling to Russia to share her craft. In her spare time Janice loved birdwatching, baking cookies, and crafting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janice wrote poetry and was an avid genealogist who found joy in tracing and sharing her family histories. Faith played an important role in Janice's life, she was an active member and frequent lecter at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Janice was a proud, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, creative expression, and a deep commitment to family, community, and faith. Her legacy lives on through her family, the stories she told, the students she inspired, and all the lives she touched through her work and faith. Janice is survived by her children Fritz Daniel Kuebler II, James (Mary) Kuebler, and Edward (Jean) Kuebler; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grand children; siblings Dianne (Ken) Yoesting (Henrichs), Thomas (Ginger) Marx, and numerous nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fritz; her son Thomas; siblings Edward William Henrichs II, Wayne Marx, Robert Marx, Marlene Barris (Marx); her parents, Edward and Mildred; and her stepmothers Esther Marx and Goldie Painter. A Funeral Mass will be held May 31, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 950 Trails Parkway Garland, TX 75043. A Celebration of Life to be held in Michigan at a later date.
