Janice Shoemaker Obituary
Canton - Janice Irene Mason Shoemaker, 77, passed away March 12, 2021 at the Madison County Nursing Home. Visitation will be at Breeland Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. graveside service at the Canton Cemetery.
A native of Springhill, LA, Mrs. Shoemaker lived most of her life in Canton. She was a member of Center Terrace Baptist Church. Her true calling in life was Giver and Grandmother, as she was always looking for ways to help others, especially her family and grandchildren. Her last request was to see her great grandson, Sawyer, who brought her last smiles.
Survivors include: husband of 63 years, Charles Shoemaker; daughters, Gayle Canoy and Dottie Feduccia (Larry); brother, Lamar Mason (Kay); grandchildren, Lauren Canoy and Mason Canoy (Casey) all of Canton, Jacob (Kelsi) Feduccia of Clinton and James "J.T." Feduccia of Starkville; her great-grandson, Sawyer Canoy; and a number of nieces and nephews..
She was preceded in death by: sisters, Jeanette Cross and Diane Mason; niece, Gigi Pitts; and son-in-law, Tim Canoy.
The family would like to express a very large heart felt thank you to the Madison County Nursing Home Dementia Unit as they went above and beyond in their care.
Memorials may be made to Center Terrace Baptist Church.
