I met Jarrett when he was 3, he was such a
sweet, loving little boy, always with a huge
smile, cute giggles and those beautiful eyes.

Jarrett, may your new journey bring you the loving peace you deserve, you touched so
many during your brief stay on this earth.

My deepest condolences to your mom, sisters, aunts & uncles and friends, who loved you dearly.

Praying for his Mom and sister.
I was lucky to work with Jarrett. We both worked at Safeway together. I worked in floral, and he in produce. It seemed as though every time I worked with him the more I noticed his amazing kindness. I would be putting a bouquet together and witnessed him helping a lady get a new cart because hers was broken, or help a mother with babies calm her baby, and countless other kind things Jarrett did. It wasn't long and the boss noticed too, and Jarrett was awarded the Employee of the month.
Time passed...
A couple years later Jarrett walks into the Milwaukie Center where I work! When we saw each other we instantly hugged, and reminisced about our Safeway days. We had good times working together in the kitchen at the Center. He was so helpful taking on the dishes. Jarrett also helped us pack food too. He seem to really love being there. One time he made yummy banana bread and brought in to share with everyone working. Jarrett had a special relationship with so many people at the center. I am so thankful to be one of them. I will always remember my sweet friend, and in his memory try to be more like him and spread kindness. This world will not be the same without him
Sending prayers to his family and friends

Hi, I was from his church he went to sometimes. His family needs prayer. My 8 year old sister was inpacted greatly by him. I dont think I can tell her. She had so much in common with him and she could tell he had wanted to take his life but she did not tell me. I did not know and I did not realy get to know him but my sister sure did.

I know none of you but my heart urged me to let you know I will make a conscious effort to show specific kindnesses in Jarrett's honor over this next year. I cannot fathom the pain of your loss and I admire your urging people to recognize all of us have battles and need kindness.

I just read Jarrett's tribute. It broke my heart. I am so sorry.

He sounds like a wonderful, warm and loving young man. This is a tragic loss not only to those who loved him, but to the world.

I have an adult son who struggles with mental illness and is often suicidal. So I have some understanding of what you've been through.

I am broke at the moment, but I will save the info. I will make a contribution to Union Gospel Mission in Jarrett's name.

Bless your hearts. Try not to feel guilty. Take good care of each other.

Barbie and Jami, family and friends - our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your loss is unimaginable and we hope you find some peace in your faith and from loving friends. I only met Jarrett once, when he was a young boy learning advanced swimming - I remember the pride in your voice when you spoke of him and introduced us. I know your son is in a better place and looking down sending you comfort. We will be at the service, and I can't wait to hug you.

Jarrett came to my church a few times and everyone absolutely loved him! I was able to help him move from Heatherbrae to his new apartment when he moved and we got to know each other pretty well. I am so very sad to hear about this! I wish there had been a way I could have helped to prevent this. I don't know if I'll be able to make it to his service but please know that I, along with several others from Milwaukie Christian church will keep your entire family in our prayers. Be at peace, Jarrett.

May God's healing grace fill each of you, angels uplift you, and the memory of Jarrett's gentle, impish smile help to ease the emptiness in your heart and lives. He remains with you from the other side of the veil and am sure he'll be among the first running to greet you at Heaven's Gate.
Much love and prayers!

My heart is heavy for you. I can only imagine how much pain your family and friends are going through. Losing a loved one at any time is so hard , but more so when so young. Knowing there is a future for those we have lost can be very reassuring. May the hope and promise at John 11: 24 & 25 bring you peace & strength during this difficult time. My heartfelt condolences and prayers of comfort to all the family.

This is so tragic. I remember Jarrett when he was just a little boy as he lived right next door to me. I always saw him with his headphones walking his dog and even when I moved away for many years, when I returned and moved back into my old house, I recognized Jarrett as a grown man working in the produce department at Safeway. I didn't really know Jarrett personally, so it's nice to learn these things about him. It's so very sad that someone who had ambitions and talents fought so hard emotionally. This is such a shock and I will miss seeing him walk past my yard with music in his ears and his dog in tow. My heart brakes for Barbie and Jamie and anyone else who's life he's touched. Rest in peace Jarrett.
