Jarrod, I was sitting here going about my day, reading the news and you popped in my head. Thoughts about a long time ago and how for an early part of our lives, as our fathers worked together and our mothers were close friends, our histories were pretty much intertwined. Thoughts about how a wiry athletic kid and a strong but chubby kid had some epic battles but also some pretty good times as well. Knowing that my success in football stemmed in some small part from chasing around, in terms of agility, the human equivalent of a rabbit. From lifting rocks to dig to China, to being there when your dad got you riding your bike on your own the first time in Brooklyn to exploring the mountain behind your house and splitting a chicken sandwich from the KFC in port Jervis to visiting you that one time in oneonta, where we played basketball and tennis and I was jealous that you had two baloney sandwiches and I only had one- I realize that even though our paths crossed only briefly, you and I shared a lot of memories. I wish at some later part in our life journey, our paths crossed again and we got to share these memories over a beer as grown men. I am sad that will never happen down here, but hopeful you'll have one waiting for me when the time comes. I hope you are resting well.

Jarrod,
It seems like only yesterday that you and I were hanging out in Laurens borrowing my grandma's car and having a blast in Oneonta. I'm sorry I lost touch with you man. I'm sorry that I never tried to get ahold of you somehow, someway. It's not fair that the lord called you home so early, causing you to leave behind a loving wife and child, and family & friends. All I can really say and wish for you know, is to Rest in Peace. I'll miss you man, and until the day that it's my turn to ascend into heaven maybe look up my "Nana" who you know so you won't be so lonely. I love you man.

A man that was known for the love he had for his wife and daughter, a man that was always there when you wanted to laugh, a man that took care of his own, and man that was always willing to lend a hand. For these reasons you will never be forgotten and that is why god made you a MAN! You will always be on my mind and never forgotten. Too the family and friends I send my condolences. Donna, Jackie, Mackenzie and Family,
I am completely shocked at the sudden death of such a wonderful young man.
May God give him eternal rest and may his soul rest in peace. As Megan said, I have so many funny memories that we shared and we will cherish them forever. I remember how excited & proud he was in high school when he bought that little red car. How he used to get a kick out having Jackie explain the color of their house on Orchard Street!! And how PROUD he was to be a dad to Mackenzie!!
Please be strong and accept my most sincere condolences.
All my sympathy is with you.

Love,
Peter, Lyla, Isabella, Sophia and Louis
