Jason Boyd

Jason Boyd, 41, of Parma Heights, Ohio, passed away on February 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 4, 1983, Jason developed a passion for technology from a young age. He attended Kent Roosevelt High School before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from Kent State University, paving the way for a career in IT.

Jason's interests extended far beyond his profession. Known in his communities as Golden Lark or Evader, he had a deep love for cars, computers, online comics, science fiction, and gaming. He was always eager to explore the latest advancements in technology and was drawn to Japanese culture, gaining a deep understanding of both the customs and the language through media and literature. He held fine cuisine in high regard, but maintained a lifelong preference for his favorite beverage, Sunkist. His quick wit, pragmatism, and kindness left a lasting impact on those around him, and his prolific creative writing garnered a large and loyal international audience.

Throughout his life, Jason touched many with his humor, intellect, and passion. In his final days, he showed immense strength and taught those around him how to face life's challenges with dignity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jason was preceded in death by his beloved feline companion, Midnight, who was by his side from childhood through adulthood and who, as he often proudly demonstrated, would answer and come to him when called by name.

He is survived by his parents, James and Penny Boyd of Saint Charles, Missouri.
