Men as unique and larger than life as he was, are incredible bolts of lightning and i'm honoured to have known him and call him friend. My condolences to his family and friends but i'm sure any thoughts of him bring smiles, even as now mixed with tears. May he rest in peace. You are truly missed...Derek

I can still see you and Warren around the kitchen table discussing and solving all the problems of the world. I know these times are really special.
Jason, you will be missed by your fellow fire-fighters, friends and especially family members ... rest peacefully - pain free. Love Donna
This will always be yours. I carry you in my heart.

Jason and I were neighbours for many years. He was a hero not only in his career path, but also in the resolve with which he battled his illness.
Every year, when the weather warmed up, I'd see him driving around with the top down and wearing his top hat. It always made me smile, because that was a better forecast that summer was coming than you'll ever get from the weather network.
Shortly after I brought home my new puppy five years ago, we got into the elevator with Jason. He took one look at Sparky and promptly slid down the elevator wall, then sat on the floor cuddling and playing with my pup.
There's never a camera around when you really, really need it-- but I'll keep that picture in my mind forever.
My condolences to his many loved ones he will be greatly missed.

We've lost a great great man. Jason was brilliant and kind and compassionate. He stood as an example of what we should all strive for as part of the human race. He will be sorely missed. RIP Brother.

Dear Jason:
Being a police officer, a paramedic and a firefighter during your short lifetime says it all. You cared. That trait is something that is not present in everyone and in fact is becoming, I hate to say, rare. Your generous spirit will not be forgotten Jason. Your intelligence and quick wit made you charming and entertaining indeed. I am comforted knowing that you are no longer in pain and are resting now because in the end you were no longer able to be the bright star, the giver and the saver of all of us which was your role in life. May you rest in peace Jas.
Love Karan

Jason was a wonderful friend to our family and a close friend and colleague to my husband at MFES. I have many funny stories about Jason and my husband at the fire hall - many wonderful memories. He was always very kind and caring to everyone and he will be missed dearly. I will never forget when my husband died (also a line of duty death with Markham) and I asked if anyone knew if Jason was going to able to make it to my husband's funeral. He was out of the country at the time and no one seemed to know if he would be able to make it. At the cemetery during the service there, I remember looking up and the first person I saw was Jason and I began to cry - he made it back on time which meant so much to me and would have meant a great deal to my husband as well. Jason, you will be missed - you will never be forgotten, my friend.

I have wonderful memories growing up in Thornhill with Jason and our friends. I am so sad to hear this and only wish we had not lost contact over these years. Thank you Jason for your service you provided as a firefighter. RIP my friend.

Jason was my very first friend, way back on Baymark Road. How lucky we were to have the Churchills as our neighbours. Always kind and thinking of others, it never surprised me that his job was always to put others first. He took the time to be there for me and I will always remember him as a gentle caring soul. To Carole and the rest of the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
With Love,
Erin and Jocelyn

Our paths never crossed but a brother is a brother regardless. You served briefly with the force I now work for. My heart goes out to all who love and miss you. I pray they feel you with them every minute of every day. Rest now.
