Jason, age 49, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Porter, Texas on July 22, 2022.

Jason was born in Wausau, WI to Robert and Rufina Gauthier owners of Skylite Supper Club in Athens since 1979. He graduated Athens High School in 1991 and then attended University of Wisconsin Center-Marathon County taking Pre-Pharmacy until 1994.

Jason worked at Radio Shack in Wausau starting as Sales Associate then promoted to Store Manager where he managed three different store locations. In July of 2000, Jason moved out to the state of Oregon. There he worked in customer service for phone company, a loan processor for a mortgage company, and then for a car dealership underwriting loans. In 2006, he transferred to another dealership located in Union City, Georgia.

In 2008, Jason decided to move to Humble, Texas, outside of Houston, where he knew some computer gaming friends. Although Jason was never married and had no children, it was here in Texas that Jason found his home and his family settling in Porter.

Jason started working for Alight in 2008 starting in customer service until he was promoted to an instructor/trainer.

In his free time, Jason was an avid reader and computer gamer. He loved going to the Texas Renaissance Festival and dressing up in character as a monk or pirate.

Jason has always been known as the person that would do anything to help his friends and coworkers. He worked many charitable events and was always friendly.

He made a difference in those he knew, always positive and supportive.

In 2018, Jason was diagnosed with cancer. He fought it head on going through chemotherapy and radiation, even after it metastasized. Jason remained his jovial self and always able to smile until the end.

Survivors include father, Robert (Joy) Gauthier, Sun Valley, NV, sisters Mary Johnson, Weston and Renee (Perry L.) Haugen, Sun Prairie, two nephews, Perry Andrew and Alex Haugen, aunts, uncles, other relatives, his Texas family: Charles Williams, Pam Wiman, Candace Adolph, Kimberly (Adam) Little and Kodie Adolph and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Rufina and brother-in-law, Roger Johnson.

A celebration of life and burial was held at the Athens Cemetery with family and close friends on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Jason was a wonderful bartender, always with a smile , a joke, a story to tell or some tidbit of information which was always interesting to know. We loved it when he tended bar when we went into skylite club for their delicious food. He will be missed. Hugs to all of his family!!!

To Jason´s family and Friends-
My deepest sympathy. Jason was always a jolly guy. He had the biggest heart and smile.
At school he was always pleasant, and he was knowable.
Going out to Sky Lite, for pickup or dine in. He always greeted you, and had a few fun facts for the day.
Jason, leaves behind a legacy.
One of the kindest friends I know, always upbeat.
Thinking of him, brings a smile to my face.
Big Hugs, Hi to His Father Bob, Mary, and Renee and Family.
I lost a 21 month year old, Chandler. He´s buried close to your mother-
