Jason Guthrie, age 35, of Russellville, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his home. He was the son of Randy and Sharon Guthrie of Russellville, and was born June 3, 1974 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was a former employee of United Parcel Service and Con-Agra, served as a member of the Arkansas National Guard and was a member of Fair Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Guthrie, and his grandfathers, Ernest Guthrie and Laz Sanders. Survivors include his parents, Randy and Sharon Guthrie of Russellville; his grandmothers, Gorgie Guthrie and Patricia Sanders of Mountain Home; aunts and uncles: Ronnie and Betty Guthrie of Calico Rock; Eddie and Betty Guthrie of Mountain Home; Ricky and Patty Sanders and Randy Sanders of Dolph, Arkansas. Special cousins include Deana Taylor, Tanya Wood, Susan Smith, Brandon and Tyrel Sanders, Kelsey and Ryan Sanders, Heather Dearing and Matthew Guthrie. He was also survived by a host of other friends. A memorial service will be conducted by Shinn Funeral Service at 10 A.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Fair Park Baptist Church, 615 South Knoxville Avenue, Russellville, officiated by the Rev. Steve Williams and the Rev. Rick Balentine. A meal at the church will follow. Burial will be on Spring Mountain. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Needham, Richie Tanner, Kyle Drown, Jamie Jackson and Allen Housley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fair Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 615 South Knoxville Avenue, Russellville, Arkansas 72802; or to Dream Catchers, 108 Upper Pine Ridge Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.
