Jason Jewell Obituary
He was born on September 7, 1978 at Mena, the son of Kevin Jewell and Sherri Wilson Jewell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Chester Jewell and his nephew, Karl Jewell.
He attended Kirby Public Schools from the 1st to the 9th grades and was a 1996 graduate of Dierks High School. He was a member of the Daisy Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Sherri Jewell of Kirby; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Amy Jewell of Hope; his nephews, Kelby and Kason Jewell of Hope; his paternal grandmother, Helen Jewell of Vandervoort; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Joyce Wilson of Mena; his uncles and aunts, Gary and Carolyn Jewell of Elkins, Arkansas and Dale and Carla Myers of Mena.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in the Daisy Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Loy Counts and Bro. Raymond Dees officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Memorials may be made to the Daisy Freewill Baptist Church, 3809 Hwy 70 West, Kirby, Arkansas 71950.
Pallbearers will be Corey Davis, Brady Davis, Matt Hill, Jake Hill, Simon Mack, Nick Wilson, Lee Faulkner, Jeff Strasner, and Bob Pinson.

Jason- I miss you & your smile.
I remember when I was like in the 7th grade we were boyfriend & girlfriend.. for a short time. I dont remember what happened or how it all came to be or end.. but I do remember you being a very sweet guy & I thank you for the memories. You are missed greatly.. While we may not see you every day, your memory lives on in our hearts forever.

I didn't know that you guys had a guest book until just now as I happened upon it. There are so many beautiful things that have already been said about Jason, but I just wanted to say that I miss him more and more every day and all of the good times we had together are treasures to me. He was one of my closest childhood friends and I'm so thankful that I was blessed to have him in my life. I love you all and I'm praying for you still.

It has now been a couple of weeks since we've said goodbye to Jason. However, I want you to know that I have thought of you everyday. I have had a hard time dealing with his loss. I don't know if we have met..but I have family that you know. I cannot tell you how much my heart breaks for you and your family. When I heard that Jason had left us, I instantly thought of you and how awful this must be for you. I had so much fun with you and your brother in school. He made me laugh and I will never forget that. I got to spend some time with him not too long ago and it was great. He was happy and still making me laugh.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jason's death. I know it is hard, but I promise with time it does get better. I have known Jason for years and can still see him telling jokes. We are going to miss our big Jace Teddy Bear very much! He had such a sweet personality! I enjoyed getting to ride to Cossatot with him, he could always make me laugh!!

I don't know what to say. I love Jason and all of your family so much. I am so thankful for all of the time that I got to spend with Jason.
