Evans; father of Barbara (William) James, Patrick (Gwen) Evans, Douglas (Kesha) Evans and Amy (Mark) Boyd; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Visitation WEST FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2215 Wylie Ave. Thursday 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday 11 a.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 2225 Bedford Ave. Interment National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.

Dear Evans family,I was saddened to hear of Mr. Evans passing. I often think of him and the Evans family, as a special time being a child at EBC. Getting to know him as a man was even better as I respected the way he loved his family and the approach he took as a Man of God. His efforts with the Scouts are fondly remembered by my wife and I as he was driving the van In Gettysburg while she was pregnant with our son. An unforgettable trip with he and Grandpa.Many say that our loss is heavens gain, and in this case I truly believe that.
