Jay R. Hines, aged 76, of Cedar Springs, formerly of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2007. Jay served in the Navy during the Korean War, and retired from Guardsman Chemicals after 29 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth ("Liz"); his sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Hines, Kevin and Bonnie Hines; his granddaughter, Samantha; one brother, five sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday October 30, at Stroo Funeral Home with Pastor James Henning officiating. Interment in Kent Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Hospice. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at: STROO FUNERAL HOME 1095 68TH ST.
