I´ve known Jay for 50 years. We didn´t go to school together, we didn´t date. I was a kid back then.
He ended up being a very unique part of my life & my family´s. To say that he was larger than life is an understatement. His laugh is forever burned in my memory. He made me a cake for my birthday one year & it blew me away that he took the time to do that. (It was delicious)! He was a generous, gregarious, kind, loving soul. Truly one of a kind. Thanks for the memories Jay...

Jay and I were best of friends as teenagers and would talk on the phone or in person for hours on end, he always made me laugh.
We reconnected in our 20´s and became a couple living together in Milwaukee for a while.
The best gift I ever received was a cat named Ralphie that Jay gave me on Valentine´s Day.
He had a red heart around his neck and was hiding under our bed.
Ralphie was with me for a total of 20 years and Jay and I had just talked about that sweet cat the week before Jay passed.
I´m so blessed to have had Jay in my life and I´ll close by saying the last words I spoke to him as we ended our call that Wednesday morning "I love you Bird".
