I will always remember Jay with a smile. He was one of the most compassionate, kind, and positive people I've known. His love for his daughter, Melanie, showed in every conversation about her and in every moment spent with her. He was a good friend and his loss leaves a big hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Rest easy, Jay. You will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Jay's death. I taught with Jay for many years at Oak Hill High School. He was always a caring, fun-loving, and kind person who loved teaching adolescents. His sense of humor was unique and special. I will always remember his wonderful smile. My deepest condolences to his daughter and his family.
