Jaya Johnnie Mary Brooks

Jaya Johnnie Mary Brooks, age 3, passed away on December 11, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on June 12, 2020, in Maumee, Ohio, to her loving parents, Jan Brooks Jr. and Darea Swain. Jaya was the beloved daughter of her parents and the cherished sister of Da'Mya and Daliyah. She also had a special bond with her great-great-grandmother, Angelina, and her grandparents, Andrea Raney, Darryl Swain (Elena), and Angela Roosevelt (Bryant), great grandparents Patrick, Victoria (Tito), Uncles Josh, Isaiah, Luca, Antonio, Darryl (Liz), Damani, Aunts Jordan, Deja, Desiree, Dominique, and Delores, and cousin Aelia.

Jaya's vibrant personality and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She radiated warmth and kindness, always making sure that everyone felt valued and loved. Despite her young age, Jaya possessed an old soul and showed immense care and compassion for others. She had a deep love for her family, friends, and her beloved puppies, Millie and Ziggy. Jaya was a bright light, wise beyond her years, and her absence is deeply felt by all who were fortunate to have known her.

In her short life, Jaya found joy in gymnastics and playing at the park. These were activities that brought her happiness and allowed her to express her vibrant spirit. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and the joy and peace she brought to those around her.

Jaya is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Johnnie Mary, her grandfather, Jan Sr., her grandparents "O" and granny Swain. Although she is deeply missed, her loved ones find solace in knowing that she is now resting eternally with her heavenly father.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Jaya on December 22, 2023, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Church LV, located at 3760 Las Vegas, NV 89120. Following the service, a repass will be held at 3:00 pm. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Church LV, located at 3760 Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89120.

Jaya's bright spirit and immense love will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she continue to watch over us from her place in heaven.
