Jean Robert Apollon, 75, of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, passed away on November 15, 2023, in Columbia, Maryland. Born on November 17, 1947, Jean was a beloved father, partner, brother, and uncle.

Jean had a vibrant personality and loved to joke around with people. He cherished his family and was known for his dedication to his work. He had a passion for taking on challenges and excelled as a Certified Engineering Technologist in his career. Jean's professional journey included working as a Contractor for the MTA Bridges and Tunnels for The State of New York.

In his free time, Jean enjoyed various hobbies. He loved walking, driving, listening to music, and indulging in a good Haitian meal. Despite being diagnosed with diabetes later in life, he never lost his fondness for sweets.

Jean's educational background consisted of attending the New York Public School System for his primary education and Brandies High School. He furthered his studies and obtained an AAS from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

Jean will be deeply missed by his three daughters, Marie-Rose, Elisabeth, and Judith, as well as his partner, Marie. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Estelle and Sebastien. Jean is survived by his brother, Gerald, sister-in-law, Jocelyn, and nieces, Nicole, Monique, and Antoinette. He also had close cousins, Patrick and Jules.

A funeral service will be held at Glascott Funeral Home of Forest Hills, located at 102-03 Metropolitan Ave, Forest Hills, Queens, NY 11375. For further assistance, please contact the funeral home at 718-845-5970.

Jean Robert Apollon will be remembered for his warm heart, dedication to his family, and his commitment to his work. May his soul rest in peace.
