In loving memory of Jean Marie Coolidge, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and cherished member of the Keene community, it is with both solemn hearts and grateful spirits that we announce the upcoming funeral services and ceremonies honoring her remarkable life.

Jean Marie Coolidge, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 30, 2024. Born on July 11, 1932, in Clintonville, NY, she dedicated her life to her family and the nurturing of her children. She married Donald Coolidge in 1950 and they shared a wonderful life together until his passing 2004. As a hardworking food service worker at Keene Central School and helping family as a cook at Murphy's Spruce Hill Lodge, she exemplified dedication and resilience in all facets of her life. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, evident in her role as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She was proud to serve as President of the Golden Peaks Senior Center in Keene for over ten years where she found great joy in crafting art, and planning and going on trips with her friends. She found a great sense of honor and companionship in helping to organize church services, especially working with ushers and greeters. Her passion for baking was a testament to her caring nature and she found special joy in hosting holiday gatherings. She always made her famous whoopie pies when her grandchildren visited, which was a special delight to children and adults alike. Moreover, the tradition of making tomato jam and ice cream rolls showcased her love for sharing warmth and joy with those around her.

Jean's fondest memories were made in the company of family, traveling to Maine with Marilyn and Pete, visiting Donna in Oregon, and exploring the beauty of the redwoods and the Pacific Ocean. Her vibrant spirit and love for her family shone brightly at every gathering and event she hosted, creating lasting bonds and cherished moments for all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; her parents, Joseph Boprey and Mable Arney, and her son-in-law Martin Dillingham.

She is survived by her loving family, her children Donna Dillingham, Linda (Richard) Sanders, Craig (Kathie) Coolidge, and Marilyn (Peter) Murphy; her grandchildren Erik, Marty Lynn, Shane, Mark, and Daniel; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her sister Kathleen Howard (Bob Bomba).

A Memorial Service will be held at Keene Valley Congregational Church on October 12, 2024, at 11:00 am.
