Jean Dirks Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 28, 2025.
Jean Bodhaine Dirks passed away April 14, 2025. Born October 07, 1950. Daughter of August and Jeanette Bodhaine of Naperville. Our mom had many health issues and battled vascular dementia the last six years. She had been living in TX with me and then was in assisted living the last several years. She was a very caring loving woman. And she is greatly missed. She attended Ss Peter and Paul school and graduated from Naperville Community High School. Mom went to Xray school in Quincy and ended up working at Edwards Hospital where she became the Chief of Xray. She also enjoyed working at St Patrick's on the Alzheimer's unit. She retired from the City of Naperville dispatch a job she loved. She is survived by two sisters Kim Sowers and Linda Christiansen and families, and a brother Andy Bodhaine and family, two daughters Stacey Barr White and family and Nikki Barr and family. She joins her late husband Roger Dirks and parents August and Jeanette Bodhaine Brother Danny and sister Nancy Bodhaine Gros who preceded her in death. Our mom's wishes were for no service but I can't let her go without acknowledging her. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

So many wonderful memories of Friday nights at your house. Bowling in the basement. Too bad I was never very good at it. Rest in peace old friend?

What a special friend from grade school! I was always envious that she was so tiny, since I was the biggest in the class. Here's my seventh birthday party - guess who is who! RIP Jean.
