I began my 40 year long teaching career at Deering High School in 1971 and whenever I had questions about payroll and benefits Jean always had the right answers. I recall when I began to get things in order to retire in 2011, I met with Jean a number of times and her advice was invaluable! A lovely lady!

Jean was one of the kindest people I have had the privilege to know in my life. She was my next-door neighbor for 27 years and she and her husband, Lyman, were very special to me. They were more than just neighbors. Jean always was positive and such a kind-hearted soul. We had our neighborly chats every so often over the years and I always felt better after speaking with her because her gentle and kind manner made you feel good and more positive no matter what we were discussing.
I will miss her very much and I give my heartfelt condolences to her family. She was one of those very rare people in this world who was blessed with a special peace and caring we all were so fortunate to have been touched by in our hearts, and I will always carry her gracious spirit with me.
Thank you, Dear Jean!
