Jean LEEMING Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Jun. 22, 2018.

LEEMING (GAIR), Jean Robertson
Mom left us quietly on June 2, 2018, just three months before her 100th birthday. She lived a long, healthy life filled with joy and love and she is now at peace.
Jean was predeceased by Ernie, her loving husband and best friend for 65 years, two sisters Helen and Mary, and four brothers Dave, Jack, Bill, and Roy. Mom, Nana, Auntie Jean, Nana Jean, is survived by sister Sheila Malmgren (Ken), three children Ernie Leeming (Barb), Helen Ragan (Phil), and Laurie Nowaczewski (Al), eight loving grandchildren and their spouses, and thirteen great grandchildren whom she completely adored. It is also important that we acknowledge the love, care and many kindnesses shown by nieces and nephews and the special attention provided by her close friends and the dedicated staff at Harrison Pointe.
Her 98th birthday celebration at Harrison Pointe was a sparkling tribute to the love that she shared with everyone whom she touched in her life. Mom cared deeply about the feelings of others and went out of her way to do the right thing which was a source of great pride to her family. Always gracious and unpretentious, always a lady. At Mom's request, there will not be a service as her birthday was a celebration of her life. We feel so very fortunate to have had the gift of so many happy years with Mom and will cherish these precious memories forever.
A word of sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Harrison Pointe. You treated Mom like family in her final years and she could never say enough about how happy she was during this time.
Also, our heartfelt thanks to Langley Lodge for their support of the family and compassion during Mom's last days.
