Jean B McDonald

Mrs. Jean B. McDonald, 75 of Marietta, GA passed away on May 2, 2012. After multiple medical problems, her body just couldn't take anymore. Even though she was beating cancer, she was hospitalized six times since the first of 2012. We are thankful she is finally free of pain and is now in the place she wanted to go. She was born to the late Nace and Marie Lamonte on November 19, 1936 in New Orleans, LA. She graduated from nursing school to become a critical care nurse in a New Orleans hospital. After moving to the Chimney Springs sub-division in Marietta in 1985, she worked for a large hospital corporation and then retired years ago as an administrative manager. She has loved the neighborhood, neighbors and the church and has found living here was extremely pleasant. She was involved in many activities; those included the Red Hat Society and multiple groups at St. Anns. Jean is survived by her husband of 28 years, Dave McDonald, sons Michael Berry, Bruce Berry (Ronna) and Michael McDonald (Lesli), daughter Julie Kinsey (Ken), 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way and brothers Nick, Jerry, Larry, Gary and Danny Lamonte. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00am at the Catholic Church of St. Anns. A reception will follow the service.
